Granada had never won at Camp Nou until the night of 29 April 2021, when Machís struck the equaliser against Barcelona and Roberto Soldado turned it into a 2-1 win. He won the Taça de Portugal with Vitória Guimarães in 2013, the Copa Venezuela with Mineros de Guayana in 2011 and the Kirin Cup with Venezuela in 2019, and has scored 11 goals in 52 internationals. Twente's 3-3 draw with Tottenham on 7 December 2010 carried a small piece of history, because his goal was the first scored by a Venezuelan in the Champions League. He won the KNVB Cup with Twente in 2011 and two Johan Cruijff Shields, scored in the final match of 2018/19 that took Espanyol back into Europe after twelve years, played 96 times for Venezuela and was part of the side that finished fourth at the 2011 Copa América.
