Lucien Favre called him one of the best left feet in the game after he beat Mainz from 48 yards in December 2012, the kind of goal Venezuelans had learned to expect from the man they called Arangol. He played six Copa Américas and helped Venezuela to fourth place in 2011, still their best finish, and left with 129 caps, 22 goals and the 2016 NASL title and MVP award with the New York Cosmos.
