Every football country carries one argument that never closes: who are our greatest ever, and who makes the eleven? 33 Legends turns that argument into a playable almanac. For every nation we curate the 33 greatest players in history, rank them, and hand you a real pitch to build your own all-time XI.
Then comes the part that makes this a ranking site rather than a list: the duels. Two legends appear side by side, you tap the greater one, and an Elo system reorders the people's ranking with every vote. The editorial 33 states our case. The people's 33 is the community's reply, live on every page.
Eleven is a team, but a nation's history is deeper than one lineup. 33 gives every position real competition: three ways to fill each shirt. It is enough depth to honour goalkeepers of the 1950s next to wingers of today, and small enough that every inclusion is a real editorial decision.
33 Legends is an independent editorial project. It has no affiliation with FIFA, any confederation, federation or club. Player names and historical facts are used editorially, the way any football almanac or encyclopedia uses them.
Rosters and ratings are editorial judgments, and judgments can be wrong. The fastest way to overrule us is built into the product: win the argument in the duels, and the people's ranking will show it.
