How this list is made

This pilot uses a reproducible data selection, not a definitive judgement of greatness. Only women with a recorded senior national-team membership enter the pool. The score combines recorded caps (3 points each, up to 400), goals (5 each, up to 200), sourced individual football awards (120 each) and Wikipedia language editions (10 each, up to 50). Missing or conflicting figures add no points. Ties are ordered by Wikidata ID. Coverage favours well-documented careers.

Snapshot checked 2026-10-04. Figures absent or conflicting in the snapshot are omitted.
