The 1999 Trinidad and Tobago Pro League season brought him 45 goals and the Golden Boot, and the Caribbean named him its Footballer of the Year. Trinidad and Tobago Footballer of the Year in 1998, 1999 and 2001, a place in the 2000 Gold Cup All-Star team, 28 goals in 73 caps, the 2006 Pro League title with Joe Public, and two Caribbean club championships. Easter Road called him the Little Magician, and in 1998-99 he made the name stick, running Hibernian out of the First Division as champions and taking the division's player of the year award. He had already won back-to-back Portuguese titles with Porto in 1995 and 1996, becoming the first Trinidadian in the Champions League, then a Portuguese Cup with Boavista, and he closed with 81 caps, 29 goals and a place at the 2006 World Cup.
