The free kick that carried Palestine to their first Asian Cup came in the 59th minute in Malé on 30 May 2014, and it was the only goal of the Challenge Cup final against the Philippines. Champion of that 2014 AFC Challenge Cup and its top scorer with four goals, a place at the 2015 Asian Cup in Australia that followed from it, and 14 goals in 56 caps for Palestine. Palestine were already 8-0 up on Bhutan in Dura on 10 October 2017 when Cantillana added the ninth and the tenth in a qualifier for the 2019 Asian Cup. He won the 2018 Bangabandhu Cup in Bangladesh, scoring against Tajikistan in Sylhet along the way, played at the 2019 Asian Cup, and left the national team with ten goals in 36 caps.
