Palestine were already 8-0 up on Bhutan in Dura on 10 October 2017 when Cantillana added the ninth and the tenth in a qualifier for the 2019 Asian Cup. He won the 2018 Bangabandhu Cup in Bangladesh, scoring against Tajikistan in Sylhet along the way, played at the 2019 Asian Cup, and left the national team with ten goals in 36 caps. He captained Palestine and kept the clean sheet in Malé on 30 May 2014, when Ashraf Nu'man's goal beat the Philippines and carried the country to its first Asian Cup finals. That AFC Challenge Cup is the only senior trophy Palestine have won, and he added the Egyptian league with Al Ahly in 2009 and the Sudan Cup with Al-Merrikh in 2011, keeping goal 68 times for his country.
