The free kick that carried Palestine to their first Asian Cup came in the 59th minute in Malé on 30 May 2014, and it was the only goal of the Challenge Cup final against the Philippines. Champion of that 2014 AFC Challenge Cup and its top scorer with four goals, a place at the 2015 Asian Cup in Australia that followed from it, and 14 goals in 56 caps for Palestine. Palestine put eleven past Guam at the 2006 AFC Challenge Cup in April, and six of them came from Attal, who left Bangladesh that month with eight goals and the tournament's golden boot. Twelve of his international goals arrived in that single year, enough for IFFHS to rank him the world's eighth highest scorer of 2006; he ended with 14 in 39 caps and Palestine's scoring record, held until 2024. Career record: 37 caps and 14 goals for Palestine; club career at Al-Jazeera, Al-Wehdat SC, Shabab Al-Khaleel.
