Club Brugge paid Caracas FC 1.5 million euros for him, the largest fee a Venezuelan club had received, and then his cruciate ligament went in February 2011 and the knee kept troubling him afterwards. He still won three Belgian league titles with Anderlecht from 2012 to 2014, two Belgian Super Cups, the Greek Cup with AEK Athens in 2016, and the Venezuelan championship with Caracas in 2007, alongside 23 caps and three goals for Venezuela.
