Reggina gave him his Serie A debut against Juventus on 19 March 2005, the club that had raised him in its Primavera and given him nothing beyond two Coppa Italia appearances. It left him the first Uzbek in Italy's top division, a distinction he carried through Crotone, Genoa, Verona and Pescara, where he scored seven in 28; he made ten Uzbekistan appearances and scored twice between 2001 and 2007, and now manages Bunyodkor.
