Niger let in five to him in Accra in August 1969 and four more in Niamey a month later, nine goals in one Cup of Nations qualifying tie that Ghana took 15-1 on aggregate. Runner-up at the 1970 finals in Sudan, where he scored three including two inside three minutes against Congo-Kinshasa, 36 goals in 52 caps for the Black Stars, and an Olympic tournament in Munich, all of it while playing for Bofoakwa Tano in Sunyani.
