At Japoma Stadium on 29 January 2022 he headed in Collins Fai's cross and then ran onto Martin Hongla's low ball, scoring both goals as the host nation put Gambia out of the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final. He was in the Cameroon squad that lifted the 2017 title, took third place in 2021, won the Prix Marc-Vivien Foé as the best African player in Ligue 1 in 2018, and scored 30 goals in three seasons at Lyon.
