Spain won a penalty in the opening minutes of the Sydney Olympic final on 30 September 2000, and Kameni, sixteen years old, pushed out Angulo's kick before Cameroon came back from 2-0 to win the shootout 5-3. The gold made him the youngest footballer to win an Olympic title, and he went on to keep goal for the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations winners and lift the Copa del Rey with Espanyol in 2006.
