Two minutes from the end of the 2017 final in Libreville, the substitute flicked a long ball over Ali Gabr's head and volleyed it inside the far post to beat Egypt 2-1. That goal gave Cameroon a fifth Africa Cup of Nations and their first since 2002, and five years later Aboubakar took the Golden Boot at the 2021 edition with eight goals, the most at a single tournament since 1974.
