A centre back took the kick that settled the 1988 final in Casablanca, Kundé putting his penalty away in the 55th minute to beat Nigeria 1-0. Two years later he scored from the spot again to level the World Cup quarter-final against England, and he finished with 102 caps, the 1984 and 1988 Africa Cup of Nations, and championships with Canon Yaoundé.
