Granada had never won at Camp Nou until the night of 29 April 2021, when Machís struck the equaliser against Barcelona and Roberto Soldado turned it into a 2-1 win. He won the Taça de Portugal with Vitória Guimarães in 2013, the Copa Venezuela with Mineros de Guayana in 2011 and the Kirin Cup with Venezuela in 2019, and has scored 11 goals in 52 internationals. Nineteen years old at the 2017 under-20 World Cup, he made four saves against Uruguay in the semi-final and then stopped two penalties in the shootout to put Venezuela into a World Cup final for the first time. He finished that tournament as a runner-up with 506 minutes unbeaten, was voted Venezuela's best goalkeeper in 2016 and 2017, won the 2018 Superliga Colombiana with Millonarios and kept clean sheets against Peru and Brazil at the 2019 Copa América.
