Extra time in the 1998 League Cup final at Wembley, and the goal that broke Middlesbrough came from Sinclair, a defender who made 218 appearances for Chelsea. He won the Cup Winners' Cup weeks later, added the 1997 FA Cup and a second League Cup with Leicester in 2000, and started all three of Jamaica's group games at France 98 among his 28 caps.

His goal against Croatia in Lens on 14 June 1998 arrived in the 45th minute and was the first Jamaica ever scored at a World Cup, one of only eight caps he won. Before that came 294 league games and 77 goals for Port Vale, including both in the 1989 Third Division play-off final, then 284 games and 59 goals for Wimbledon, whom he captained from 1995. Career record: 33 caps and 8 goals for Jamaica; club career at Stoke City, Port Vale, Wimbledon; honours include Hall of Fame.
