His goal against Croatia in Lens on 14 June 1998 arrived in the 45th minute and was the first Jamaica ever scored at a World Cup, one of only eight caps he won. Before that came 294 league games and 77 goals for Port Vale, including both in the 1989 Third Division play-off final, then 284 games and 59 goals for Wimbledon, whom he captained from 1995. Career record: 33 caps and 8 goals for Jamaica; club career at Stoke City, Port Vale, Wimbledon; honours include Hall of Fame.

Leicester's captain in 2015-16 played every minute of all 38 league games, and in March 2017 Morgan became the first Jamaican to score in the Champions League. He was Premier League champion and PFA Team of the Year in that season, added the 2021 FA Cup and the 2014 Championship, and won 30 caps for Jamaica after 402 appearances for Nottingham Forest.
