In the Santiago shootout that settled the 2015 Copa América, he took Chile's second penalty and beat Sergio Romero, who got a hand to the ball and could not keep it out. That was the first of back-to-back Copa América titles in 2015 and 2016, and his club record runs to four Serie A titles at Juventus, three Bundesligas at Bayern, La Liga with Barcelona, another Scudetto at Inter and the 2022 Copa Libertadores with Flamengo. When Ronaldo arrived at Inter in 1997 and took the number 9, Zamorano would not give it up and wore 1+8 instead, taped on at first until the kit maker began printing it. The Pichichi came in 1995 with 28 goals as Real Madrid took La Liga, he opened the scoring in Inter's 3-0 UEFA Cup final win over Lazio in 1998, and he finished the Sydney Olympics as top scorer with six goals while Chile took bronze.
