With the 2015 Copa América final still goalless after Higuaín and Banega had missed in the shootout, he walked up in Santiago and chipped his penalty straight down the middle to give Chile their first major trophy. A second Copa América came in 2016 with the tournament's Golden Ball, and he leads Chile on 51 goals in a record 168 caps, having won La Liga with Barcelona, two FA Cups with Arsenal and two Serie A titles with Inter. When Ronaldo arrived at Inter in 1997 and took the number 9, Zamorano would not give it up and wore 1+8 instead, taped on at first until the kit maker began printing it. The Pichichi came in 1995 with 28 goals as Real Madrid took La Liga, he opened the scoring in Inter's 3-0 UEFA Cup final win over Lazio in 1998, and he finished the Sydney Olympics as top scorer with six goals while Chile took bronze.
