In the Santiago shootout that settled the 2015 Copa América, he took Chile's second penalty and beat Sergio Romero, who got a hand to the ball and could not keep it out. That was the first of back-to-back Copa América titles in 2015 and 2016, and his club record runs to four Serie A titles at Juventus, three Bundesligas at Bayern, La Liga with Barcelona, another Scudetto at Inter and the 2022 Copa Libertadores with Flamengo. Sierra's long ball came down on his thigh at Wembley in February 1998, and the volley that followed beat Nigel Martyn before he added a penalty in a 2-0 win over England. In France that summer he scored four times, and the honours run to Serie A and the Coppa Italia with Lazio in 2000, two Scudetti at Juventus, four Argentine titles at River Plate and 37 goals for Chile, a record until Alexis Sánchez broke it.
