On 31 May 2017 he curled a corner straight into the net against Paraná in the Copa do Brasil quarter-final, one of the set pieces that made El Escorpión a name in Belo Horizonte, where eight of his goals came from free kicks. He won the Uruguayan championship and Supercopa with Nacional in 2025, the Campeonato Mineiro in 2017 and 2020, Venezuela's title with Caracas in 2010 and the Copa Venezuela in 2013.
