Brazil went out of the 2015 Copa América on penalties on 27 June, and he was among the Paraguayans who walked the length of the pitch and scored. Paraguay finished fourth in that tournament, four years after he had helped them to the 2011 final, and his 73 caps sit beside four Paraguayan titles with Libertad between 2006 and 2008, the 2013 Copa do Brasil and 2014 Carioca with Flamengo, and the 2017 Clausura with Cerro Porteño.
