Known for one of very few Finns with a major national cup won abroad, three domestic player-of-the-year awards, and the man who opened the professional route for Finnish football. Criterion four plus a genuine title puts him above the whole Stalwart block here. Biggest achievements: Coupe de France 1957 with Toulouse, providing four assists in the final; Finland's first professional abroad, eight seasons in France; Finnish Player of the Year 1949, 1950 and 1952; 37 caps, 7 goals.
