At the Britannia on 12 December 2009 he lined up a free kick around 35 yards out and put it over everybody on 72 minutes, an equaliser at Stoke that the BBC voted its goal of the season. He holds the Honduran appearance record with 181 caps between 2003 and 2022, played at the World Cups of 2010 and 2014, won four league titles with Olimpia, and was part of the Wigan side that took the FA Cup in 2013.
