United debut, and that season ended with him voted MLS Rookie of the Year; four years later he opened the scoring against Arsenal in Brussels before two Arsenal goals in the last two minutes took the game away. Three Belgian league titles with Anderlecht, two Super Cups, the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, 65 caps for Honduras and the 2025 U.S. Open Cup with Nashville. On 4 July 1965 he settled the Copa del Generalísimo final at the Bernabéu, a 65th-minute goal that beat Real Zaragoza 1-0 in front of 90,000 and gave Atlético Madrid their revenge for losing the same final a year earlier. That cup sat alongside the 1965-66 Spanish league title with Atlético, and before Madrid he had been the Segunda División's top scorer with 22 goals as Elche won promotion in 1958-59, going on to 24 top-flight goals for the club.
