Dortmund, 10 June 2006: a minute into the second half of Trinidad and Tobago's first World Cup match, John collected a second yellow, and the ten men left behind held Sweden to 0-0. The suspension cost him the England game, but the 2006 World Cup and its Chaconia Medal headline a career of 65 caps, Gold Cups in 1998, 2002 and 2005, and four seasons at New England, who won the 2007 US Open Cup while he was there. Career record: club career at Bohemian, Longford Town, New England Revolution.
