Al-Faisaly signed him after the 2004 Asian Cup, and in November 2006 he scored in the second leg of the AFC Cup final against Muharraq to give the Jordanian club a second continental title in a row. He was in Iraq's 2007 Asian Cup winning squad and the side that finished fourth at the Athens Olympics in 2004, took West Asian Games gold in 2005, and won five Iraqi league titles with Al-Zawraa.
