In the 2021 Russian Cup final Kamano scored first, and Lokomotiv Moscow beat Krylia Sovetov 3-1 on 12 May, his four goals in the competition making him joint top scorer alongside Fyodor Smolov. That cup remains his one major medal, and the rest of the record reads 30 goals in 139 games for Bordeaux, back-to-back sixth-place finishes there, and 56 caps for Guinea across the 2015, 2019 and 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
