Genoa, 11 June 1990: Cayasso scored the only goal against Scotland, the first any Costa Rican had put in at a World Cup, and the win launched a run to the second round. He took the CONCACAF Champions' Cup twice, with Alajuelense in 1986 and Saprissa in 1995, won league titles at both, scored nine goals in 49 caps, and became the first Costa Rican and first Central American to play in the Bundesliga.
