
Every Ivorian international of his generation played in Europe except Tizié, who kept goal in Tunisia and was in the net in Cairo on 4 February 2006 when Ivory Coast beat Cameroon 12-11 on penalties in the quarter-final. He won five Tunisian titles and the Tunisian Cup with Espérance, the African Cup Winners' Cup with Africa Sports in 1999, and was Ivory Coast's first-choice goalkeeper for the 2006 Nations Cup final run and their first World Cup.
