Casillas punched Alexis Sánchez's free kick straight out at the Maracanã on 18 June 2014, and Aránguiz drove the rebound in for 2-0, the goal that sent the holders Spain home. Two Copa América titles followed with Chile in 2015 and 2016, and before them came the 2011 Copa Sudamericana with Universidad de Chile, the club's first international trophy, alongside two Chilean championships in the same year and eight seasons at Bayer Leverkusen. His free kick from the left in the 1962 quarter-final at Arica lifted over the wall and dropped past Lev Yashin, and the Soviet Union were out of the World Cup. Four goals made him a joint top scorer of that tournament, the only Chilean to top a World Cup scoring list, and he finished third on home soil, won six Chilean titles with the Ballet Azul at Universidad de Chile and held the caps record for decades.
