In the Santiago shootout that settled the 2015 Copa América, he took Chile's second penalty and beat Sergio Romero, who got a hand to the ball and could not keep it out. That was the first of back-to-back Copa América titles in 2015 and 2016, and his club record runs to four Serie A titles at Juventus, three Bundesligas at Bayern, La Liga with Barcelona, another Scudetto at Inter and the 2022 Copa Libertadores with Flamengo.
