José Pekerman gave him his first Venezuela cap on 25 March 2022 in the World Cup qualifier against Argentina, midway through a four-year run at Chicago Fire that reached 97 league appearances. He was part of the Venezuela side that took nine points from three games at the 2024 Copa América, beating Ecuador, Mexico and Jamaica to top the group, and moved to Talleres de Córdoba that year on a deal the club made permanent in December 2024.
