From about 30 yards against Ecuador on 9 July 2011, he hit the only goal of the game in a Copa América that Venezuela would finish fourth in. That 2011 run is still Venezuela's best at a Copa América, and he added the Colombian championship with Deportivo Cali in 2005, back to back Venezuelan titles with Caracas in 2006 and 2007, and 59 caps in all.
