Known for the playmaker of the only Slovenian generation to reach both a Euro and a World Cup, and the scorer of the most consequential goal in the country's history. His honours are modest, but every player currently rated 82 in this squad has strictly less. Biggest achievements: UEFA Intertoto Cup 2004 with Lille; 74 caps and 13 goals for Slovenia; scored the winner from near the halfway line against Ukraine in the Euro 2000 play-off that took Slovenia to its first major tournament; played at Euro 2000 and the 2002 World Cup.
