León, 3 June 1970: Morocco led West Germany 1-0 at the break through Houmane Jarir, and it was Ben Kassou's goalkeeping that kept the score there before two second-half goals turned it. That match opened Morocco's World Cup history; he was also picked as goalkeeper in the 1972 Africa Cup of Nations team of the tournament, played the 1964 Olympic tournament, won Moroccan championships with AS FAR, and made CAF's 2006 list of the 200 greatest African players.
