At the 1986 Asian Games in Seoul he opened the scoring in the semi-final and again in the final, a win over Saudi Arabia he later named the best match of his career. The Computer, as Korea knew him, won Asian Games gold in 1978 and 1986, reached the 1980 Asian Cup final, played at the 1986 World Cup, and took the 1985-86 Asian Club Championship plus K League titles in 1984 and 1987 with Daewoo Royals. Career record: 95 caps and 15 goals for South Korea; club career at FC Pohang Steelers, Gimcheon Sangmu, Busan IPark.
