Novák was the right back in Turin on 23 June 1965 when Ferencváros beat Juventus 1-0 through Fenyvesi's goal, the only time a Hungarian club has won the Fairs Cup. Olympic gold in Tokyo in 1964 and again in Mexico City in 1968, bronze in Rome in 1960, and selection for the Team of the Tournament at the 1964 European Nations' Cup.
