Known for he scored the goal in the 86th minute that won Georgia its only European trophy, then died in a car crash the following year at 25. Georgian football has never treated any moment as bigger, and the squad omits him entirely. Biggest achievements: European Cup Winners' Cup 1981 with Dinamo Tbilisi, scoring the winning goal in the final against Carl Zeiss Jena; Soviet Cup 1979; USSR international.
