Known for the only Georgian ever to win a major international tournament, and he scored in the final that won it. Leaving him out while keeping nine modern squad players rated 78 to 80 is the single largest error across all five squads. Biggest achievements: European Champion 1960, scoring the equaliser in the final against Yugoslavia; Soviet title 1960 with Torpedo Moscow and 1964 with Dinamo Tbilisi; Soviet Cup 1960; 48 USSR caps; played the 1962, 1966 and 1970 World Cups.
