In the Munich final on 31 May 2025 he beat Nicolò Barella to a ball rolling towards the corner flag and cleared long, and PSG turned that clearance into their second goal in a 5-0 win over Inter. Pacho is the first Ecuadorian to win the European Cup and now has two, in 2025 and 2026, plus Ligue 1 in both seasons, the Coupe de France and a Belgian double with Royal Antwerp.
