On 11 May 2003 he curled one in from 25 yards against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge, the goal that put Chelsea into the Champions League six weeks before Roman Abramovich bought the club. He won four Danish titles with FC Copenhagen, the Danish Cup in 2009 and the KNVB Cup with Ajax in 1999, was Superliga Player of the Year in 2006-07, and played 80 times for Denmark at two World Cups and two European Championships.
