Ghana were the opponents in Addis Ababa on 21 January 1968, and 66 minutes in he scored the only goal of the final that made Congo-Kinshasa African champions for the first time. Back-to-back African Cup of Champions Clubs with TP Englebert in 1967 and 1968, two more continental finals lost in 1969 and 1970, three Congolese championships, and the 1980 African Cup Winners' Cup back at the same club as coach.
