He kept the United States out at Tim Hortons Field on 30 January 2022, a 2-0 win in Hamilton, the city his family settled in after leaving Knin. Borjan was Canada's goalkeeper through the qualifying campaign that ended a 36-year absence and at the 2022 World Cup, and he won six consecutive Serbian league titles with Red Star Belgrade, three Serbian Cups, two Bulgarian titles with Ludogorets and the Slovak league with Slovan.
