A left winger with a fearsome shot and a free kick to match, Kostić remains Red Star's record league marksman with 158 goals in 250 appearances. Olympic champion in Rome in 1960 after scoring twice against the United Arab Republic and twice against Turkey, runner-up and Team of the Tournament at that year's European Nations' Cup, five Yugoslav titles, three cups, and back-to-back league top-scorer crowns in 1959 and 1960. Career record: 33 caps and 26 goals for Serbia; club career at FK Crvena zvezda, Vicenza Calcio, St. Louis Stars.
