On 23 January 2024 he scored twice against Hong Kong, and the 3-0 win gave Palestine their first victory at an Asian Cup and their first place in the knockout round. His 17 goals make him Palestine's leading scorer, and he has won the Scottish Cup with Aberdeen in 2025, the Egyptian league with Zamalek in 2026, and the Kuwaiti title with Al-Arabi in 2021 as the division's top scorer.
