Known for no Swiss player has won more domestic silverware, and only one other footballer in history played World Cups before and after the war. Both Abegglen brothers and Minelli from the same era are listed while the man with the most medals is not. Biggest achievements: Seven Swiss championships and nine Swiss Cups with Grasshopper Club Zürich; 71 caps and 15 goals for Switzerland; scored in the 1938 World Cup win over Germany; played World Cups either side of the Second World War, holding the record for the longest gap between World Cup matches.
