Brian Clough called him the Picasso of our game, and in Madrid in 1980 the unhurried little winger drilled the only goal of the European Cup final past Hamburg. He won that trophy twice in succession, having crossed for Trevor Francis's winner in 1979, on top of Nottingham Forest's 1978 First Division title and two League Cups.
