The terraces called him the Midnight Express for what he did to full backs down the left, and in 1995 he was on that flank when Orlando Pirates won the African Cup of Champions Clubs. A year later he was an Africa Cup of Nations winner with Bafana Bafana at home, and he went on to the 1997 Confederations Cup and the 1998 World Cup, finishing with 66 caps, eight goals and a 1994 league title at Pirates.
